This special event launches the amazing Astrofest Astrophotography Exhibition exhibition, showcasing images from WA’s best astrophotographers.
Join us at The Exchange for refreshments as you take in the incredible nightscapes and hear why Carnamah’s world-class dark night skies are a drawcard for tourists and photographers.
Then head to the historic Macpherson Homestead for a magical evening of stargazing through telescopes.
The exhibition and stargazing are both free, family-friendly activities. No bookings are required, just come along.
On the same night, you’re also invited to attend the launch of the Act Belong Commit Artist Series: Unfamiliar Terrain Exhibition by multidisciplinary artist Sujora Conrad at 6pm next door at The Bank Gallery, 8 Macpherson Street in Carnamah. While in residence with North Midlands Project and the Carnamah Historical Society, Sujora has been exploring the Ready-Made Farms scheme that occurred across Carnamah, Winchester and Coorow in the 1910’s. The launch is a free open-invitation event and no RSVPs are required.
