Camp out under the stars at Karda Campground for an unforgettable experience. Journey through the Southern Night Sky with experienced Astronomy Guides and learn about the stunning objects in our local sky. Join in a green laser light tour of the constellations, hearing stories that have been told for millennia. Come and see the night sky like you’ve never seen it before!

Special camping and stargazing packages are available through the Shire of Dandaragan. If you’re staying elsewhere, separate stargazing event tickets are also available. 


When: Saturday, 8 May 2021 | 5.30pm – 8pm

Where: Karda Campground, Banovich Road, Warradarge

Bookings: $20/adult for event only, $60 for 2 adults + overnight camping. Additional nights of camping can be booked by visiting the Department of Parks and Wildlife online booking website. Campsites are limited. In case they are fully booked, alternative accommodation can be found in Jurien Bay and Badgingarra. You don’t have to be staying at the Karda Campground to enjoy the stargazing night.

What to bring: Bring your own picnic basket, chairs, torches, warm clothes, comfortable footwear, fly net and insect repellent. 

Pleases note: This event will go ahead rain, hail or shine. In the case of rain, fun astro-activities the whole family will enjoy will be held at the campground, undercover. Updates will be provided by email in the week leading up to the event.
