Astrophotography is taking off in Lake Grace! The starry sky and stark landscape create the perfect conditions for stunning nightscape astrophotography. Be inspired by WA’s Astrofest Astrophotography Exhibition and join a special Lake Grace Astrophotography Workshop.

3pm – 4pm | Astrophotography Exhibition Welcome and Presentation | Free
Join Curator, Roger Groom for a presentation of the Astrofest Astrophotography Exhibition. Free and all are welcome. Meet at the Lake Grace Artspace.

5:30pm – 8:30pm | Lake Grace Astrophotography Workshop |$99/Person
A hands-on astrophotography workshop near Lake Grace townsite. Learn tips and techniques from one of WA’s renowned Astrophotographers, Roger Groom, and take your own stunning nightscape images of the spectacular Milky Way over salt lakes. Beginners welcome. Workshop tickets: $99 per person. Places are limited. Book here… 

Astrophotography Workshop meeting place: Car park next to the Lake Grace Cemetery. From here it’s a short walk to the edge of Lake Grace where you’ll be taking images.

Astrophotography Workshop participants: Please bring camera (batteries charged), camera lenses (with manual focus ability for astrophotography), tripod, any extra camera equipment you might own, snacks, drinks, chairs, insect repellent and warm clothing.
