Did you know that stargazing on a Black Friday brings good luck? We don’t know if that’s true or not but we do know that at this special Black Friday stargazing event, you’ll discover the magic that Lake Grace’s starry night sky has to offer!

We’ll take you on a cosmic journey through our galaxy and beyond, showing you sights through telescopes such as the Great Orion Nebula, the Magellanic Clouds and more. There will also be a laser guided tour of the night sky.


When: From 6:30pm – 9:00pm, Friday 13th March 2020

Where: Lake Grace Football Oval, Bishop Street, Lake Grace

Fish and Chips available at the Sportsman’s Club on the night.

What to bring: BYO Chairs, rug, picnic, drinks, torch, warm clothes, fly net and insect repellent. If you have binoculars or your own telescope, please bring them along. If you don’t have a telescope there be others you can share. This event will go ahead rain, hail or shine. 

Bookings: Free community event. Bookings are essential. Please RSVP to Jo or Helen at the Lake Grace Visitor Centre on 9865 2140.
