Due to severe weather and power outages in Morawa today and this evening, this event has been cancelled. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

We will reschedule to hold a great stargazing night in Morawa in coming weeks.

Adventures in the Universe begin in Morawa! A laser guided tour of the night sky will dazzle you. Take a closer look at distant objects through telescopes. See stars, the Great Orion Nebula, Magellanic Clouds and more!

You’ll discover why WA is a world-class tourism destination for stargazing and astronomy. Morawa is on the Astrotourism WA map!

When: 7:00pm to 9:30pm, Saturday 22nd February 2020

Where: Morawa Sports Oval, Evans St, Morawa

What to bring: BYO chairs, picnics, drinks, torches, warm clothes, fly net and insect repellent. If you have binoculars or your own telescope, bring them along. If you don’t that’s okay – there will be telescopes set up that you can share.

Bookings: Please RSVP on the Facebook event page or to Ellie at edm@morawa.wa.gov.au

This event will go ahead rain, hail or shine.
