Home to spring wildflowers, walk trails, rolling pastures, big skies, scenic lakes, rich heritage, and rural respite, the picturesque Shire of Wickepin is made up of five areas – Wickepin, Yealering, Harrismith, Tincurrin and Toolibin and covers an area of 2,042 square kilometres.
You’re in Albert Facey country when you travel to Wickepin! You’ll take a step back in time when you explore the historic homestead inherent to the famous novel ‘A Fortunate Life’. Then you’ll take a step into the Universe when you spend the night under the stars.
Wickepin became an Astrotourism Town in August 2020. A meeting with the Shire of Wickepin Townscape and Cultural Planning Committee revealed some incredible places for stargazing and astrophotography.
